Space is based on 20 ft x 20 ft modular grids, allowing for future expansion.
Responding to the housing shortage in Brasilia, the project envisions a series of carbon sink sites that combine institutional and housing programs. Using eco-friendly materials, layers of spaces with different levels of permeability alternate with natural elements to maximize the evaporative cooling effect. Simultaneously, kinetic architecture and transformable furniture double the spatial efficiency and allow the spaces to expand and contract based on the daytime and nighttime programs.

The fluid transition between day and night is made possible by architecture, room, and furniture-scale transformations.
